Inside Ashut’s AI Experience Showroom at Galleria Mall, Karen

Ashut has introduced AI-powered furniture visualisation at its new Experience Centre, allowing customers to see how Ashut furniture could look in their own space before they buy.
Ashut Engineers recently opened the doors to its new Experience Showroom at Galleria Shopping Mall in Karen, Nairobi. Described at launch as the first of its kind in the region, the Centre takes a different approach to furniture retail. Rather than asking customers to imagine how a piece might look at home from a showroom display, it allows them to see the furniture in their own space, on screen, in under three minutes.

Why Ashut Experience Centre Exists
Buying furniture has always involved a degree of uncertainty. A sofa may look perfectly proportioned under showroom lights, but how will it look in your living room, against your walls and alongside your curtains? Will the proportions feel right once everything else is in place? For decades, customers have had no choice but to rely on their imagination to answer those questions, or worse make an expensive mistake.
Ashut built the Experience Centre to close the gap between seeing a piece of furniture and knowing whether it is right for you. The Experience Centre reflects a wider shift taking place across the furniture industry globally, as AI visualisation begins to remove some of the guesswork from buying furniture based on photographs and dimensions alone.
It also marks how far Ashut Engineers has come. At the opening, a long-standing client who had first bought from the company decades earlier remarked on how far the business has come and on the breadth of industries it now serves. That meeting of long-established trust and a distinctly new way of experiencing furniture is central to what the experience centre represents.

What Makes The Store Different
A conventional furniture showroom asks customers to assess a product outside the context in which it will eventually live. Galleria changes that equation, it allows you to explore how that furniture could look in yours. At the heart of the Experience Centre is an AI-powered visualisation platform. Customers can upload a photograph of their room, select the Ashut products they are considering and see those pieces rendered into the space, while retaining the room’s existing walls, windows and proportions.
The experience is built around three principles:
● Visualise: See how Ashut furniture could look in your own space before you make a decision. The visualisation platform brings your choices to life, so you can see what is possible rather than simply imagine it.
● Customise: Explore the details that make a furniture piece work for you, from colours and finishes to different sizes and configurations. You are not limited to what you see in one version of a product.
● Discover: Explore the wider Ashut furniture catalogue through the Experience Centre, giving you access to more products and possibilities than can’t be presented physically in one space.
Watching your personal space come together is a remarkably grounding experience. With the help of the on-site team, you can casually experiment with different textures, woods, and spatial layouts, taking all the time you need to find your perfect match. Most guests step inside simply looking for inspiration, but they walk away with a precise, confident vision of how their home or office should truly feel.

What Happens When You Walk In
The visit follows a simple rhythm. Guided by our on-site team, customers engage in a process of fluid experimentation – freely playing with pieces and placement to discover what resonates, watching their spatial ideas materialize in real-time. Before leaving, their custom design is captured as a rich virtual model. Sent straight to their phones, this personalized digital portfolio allows them to step back into their future rooms anytime and share the interactive vision with family at home.
These immersive mixed reality tools bridge the gap between imagination and reality with unprecedented accuracy. Yet, the true power of this technology creates a psychological transition. By virtually stepping inside their future homes, customers create a deep, emotional connection that transforms a simple purchase decision into an undeniable feeling of alignment of “yes, this is home.”

The People Behind The Experience Centre
The Experience Centre grew from a deliberate, disruptive idea that buying furniture should be an inspiring journey rather than a compromise with whatever happens to be physically on the showroom floor. Mr. Mehul, Director of Marketing at Ashut, was one of the key voices shaping this vision. He positioned Galleria not just as a retail space, but as an interactive experience designed to help customers make furniture decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
Speaking at the grand launch, Mr. Mehul described Galleria as “the first of its kind”
“This is an experience where furniture doesn’t have to be carried to the showroom for a customer to make it theirs. Instead, they visualise it, design it, and shape it around their own space, right there in the room.”
He added
“We are dedicated to developing intelligent, inspiring and resilient solutions for the office, the home and public spaces, and the region’s home furniture landscape, in particular, is the perfect stage for our innovative furniture solutions.”

A New Way To Buy
This philosophy sits at the very heart of Galleria. Traditional furniture shopping asks you to mentally squeeze a sofa, bed, desk, or dining set into your home or office, hoping the dimensions and colours align and are in harmony with the room. The Galleria Experience Centre flips the script. It gives visitors the tools to explore endless design possibilities visually, accurately, and dynamically before making a single commitment.
This Experience Centre marks a broader, more ambitious chapter for Ashut: to pioneer intelligent, inspiring, and resilient furniture solutions across residential, corporate, and public spaces, while introducing a deeply considered, tech-forward approach to the entire region.
Bold Vision Meets Technology
Bringing this ambitious concept to life required a powerful blend of strategy and innovation. Ashut partnered with Nisc Cloud Marketing to design and build the sophisticated technological backbone of the Experience Centre, translating a bold vision into an intuitive, real-world digital ecosystem.
The magic truly happens through the human element. On-site, a dedicated team of design consultants helps visitors navigate the platform, guiding them as they experiment with custom configurations, premium finishes, and spatial layouts. Whether a customer walks through the door with a precise architectural blueprint or simply a curious spark of inspiration, the journey remains the same. The Galleria experience is intentionally engineered to move the conversation away from “I think this could work” and step confidently into “I can actually see it.”
What It Means For The Customer. Eliminating Uncertainty
The Centre eliminates the single biggest risk in furniture buying: uncertainty. Instead of guessing whether a finish will complement their walls, or crossing their fingers that a piece will look properly scaled once it arrives, customers get to validate every single detail before they commit.
The Centre deploys immersive technology to grant visitors unfettered, high-definition virtual access to Ashut’s entire product catalogue. In a matter of touches, users can unlock and explore the complete collection of available colours, modular configurations, precise sizes, premium finishes, and materials. Because of this, guesswork is entirely replaced by confidence. Decision-making is faster, collaborations with the design team become incredibly concrete, and the frustrating gap between imagining a beautiful room and flawlessly furnishing it shrinks to just a few minutes.
Ashut’s Bigger Picture
The Galleria Experience Centre is the third showroom for Ashut, alongside our showrooms in Lungalunga, Industrial Area and Binaa, Karen.
The Galleria Experience Showroom marks a shift in how Ashut Engineers wants to meet customers going forward: combining the tactile trust of a physical showroom with the reach of a digital one, so customers do not have to choose between seeing a product in person and exploring the full breadth of what Ashut offers.
It also signals of where the wider industry is heading. From flagship showrooms across the globe pairing craftsmanship with immersive design, to AI-powered visualization reshaping how people buy furniture online, physical retail is being asked to do more than display products – it is expected to help customers decide.
As the concept matures, it positions Ashut at the front of a new retail approach in the region, one where technology and craftsmanship meet under the same roof.
